Unusual travel suggestions are dancing lessons from God.

Lizzie’s strong love of learning, design, words and people has always lured her into the unknown. A student of life, she is always up for any challenge that will broaden her perspective and fuel her artistic creativity.

Liz grew up splitting time between Old Town Alexandria and her parents’ Northern Neck farm on the Potomac River, where weekends were spent raising (and eating) oysters, kayaking, fishing and general merrymaking with friends and family.  Always an avid athlete, adventurer and artist, Liz studied English and Fine Art at university. Her travels throughout the world at an early age, in school and after infused her with an insatiable curiosity for the unknown. Whether Russia or Peru, Mexico or Alaska, exposure to indigenous cultures and customs have always fascinated Liz.

With her background in fine art, Liz first came to New Mexico for much the same reason - for a design based project with Val Kilmer where they produced a limited edition series of blankets inspired by the petroglyphs indigenous to the region, available at New York’s Gagosian Shop. Liz also helped in hosting guests at the Pecos River Ranch and her culinary talents did not go unnoticed, when she wasn’t hosting or cooking up something delicious she was most often found on horseback or fishing the pristine 5 mile stretch of high desert trout heaven!  In her free time, she also enjoys free lance writing on New Mexico’s art and culture scene when not making her own art, inspired by her outdoor excursions hiking, fly fishing and foraging.
