Safari Chic
Gone are the basic green tents and small mud huts decorated with family heirlooms and weathered chintz sofas. The past 20 years have seen a spectacular explosion of creativity in the Safari world, utilizing local materials, local artisans and big imaginations!

Great Classics & New Originals
Our collection of private Lodges and Tented Camps captures the romantic in all of us. But it is terribly important to us that we stress that our core principles are unchanged. These properties are still independently owned and operated, intimate and personal, located on private land, with an unwavering commitment to empowering the local communities and preserving the wildlife. Incredibly alluring camps and lodges in seemingly impossible to get to locations are the very reason why our trips are such a hit with our Uncharted guests.  These stylish gems are known for their personal attention, their intimate way of bringing you into the heart of Africa. These camps get under your skin and live on in your soul forever. A handful of these destinations are forever immortalized because they are either impossibly glamorous or historically significant because of their rich safari past.  So we have divvied up this collection quite simply into the Great Classics and the New Originals!

LEMARTI'S CAMP is the BRILLIANT BRAINCHILD of an ICONIC DESIGNER & SAMBURU WARRIOR

Anna Trzebinski’s fabulous offerings are often found gracing the pages of some of the finest magazines worldwide. Her signature pashminas are crafted from pure Tibetan yarn hand-loomed in Katmandu, and trimmed in flamingo, ostrich or peacock feathers by tribal women in her Nairobi workshop. Her spectacular style took a different turn a few years ago when she opened up her first boutique bush hideaway in Kenya's Laikipia.  Together with her warrior husband Loyopan Lemarti, she designed and they built together arguably one of the most spectacular camps in Africa.

Lemarti's is a delicious blend of pure African style with an earthiness that oozes soul! Plump sofas and furry mattresses dot the floors and there are no shortage of places to flop or loll around in luxury. The food is fresh, organic and out of this world scrumptious.  Bathrooms are under the starry skies, with showers dripping from trees, and loo’s with views! During the day you can hike, walk, camel trek, go on day and night game drives and visit the local village and school. But it is at dusk as the sunsets and the warriors gather around the fire, playing music on a guitar marked "for warriors," that you realize this is one place you NEVER want to leave!
