Meru Styled Tents
Nomad Mobile Safaris are about combining privacy & flexibility with traditional comfort and the chance to get under the skin of Tanzania's wilderness areas without any modicum of deprivation. The Selous mobile camp is set up for a minimum of 6-8 guests. The Meru sleeping tents are completely enclosed. In front of each tent is a large verandah with a table and safari chairs and at the back of each tent is an en-suite bathroom with a 'long drop' lavatory and a bucket-shower cubicle. The Selous Safari Camp offers excellent cuisine, a well stocked bar and a delightful, elevated viewing deck overlooking the Rufiji River.

Game Drives, Bush Picnics, Sundowners, Nature Walks & Cultural Visits.
The highlight of this camp is the prolific and somewhat shy game which abound nearby and even into camp during the months of August through December. When guests first arrive they are alerted and warned about frequent visits by elephant and other wildlife. During the months of January to July the game tends to migrate to the north, only a 40 minute game drive away. Special activities include guided walks, open-top four wheel drive game viewing and boat excursions on the river. The opportunity to experience fly tent camping for even more "on the edge" wildlife exposure is available and must be prearranged.
